ICENTRE is eyeing increased student participation for its annual Ignite business writing plan competition.Hui Kwok Leong, the director of the iCentre, said the incubator will continue to place emphasis on student participation in Ignite after seeing a record number of applications from students in the 2012 edition."We believe that it's very good for students to start at their age. So even if they fail early, they learn their lessons early (and) they'll become better entrepreneurs as they grow older," said Leong.
Growing interest among Bruneian students in entrepreneurship can be attributed to the government's efforts in increasing awareness on the importance of developing SMEs, he said.
