It was my second visit to the Entrepreneurship @ Campus (E@C) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam and I had a great time. I initially didn’t plan to stay longer but I ended staying until the event finished. I learnt something new and that was my friend David Chen whom I thought all this while I knew who David was but my ignorance proved me otherwise. Ah, more about him later but first’s thing first.

I’m amazed by E@C growth in the past few months. They recently launched their initiative a few months ago and this is in collaboration with Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) ...

E@C: Dedication towards creating more innovative entrepreneurs

A PROGRAMME dedicated to promote entrepreneurship among local undergraduates aims to kickstart at least eight startups by the year end.Following the official launch of its dedicated centre Wednesday, theEntrepreneurship@Campus (E@C) is set to facilitate higher learning students who are keen in starting a business through its incubationprogrammes, workshops, mentoring sessions and financial schemes, in hopes that it would produce more student entrepreneurs in Brunei.

 

Tse Tow Joon Mann, the president of E@C said that the programmehopes to see at least eight startups coming out of this initiative.

Developing Brunei's social entrepreneurship: FuturInk

SOCIAL entrepreneurship may still be a new concept in Brunei, but one startup is hoping to be a pioneer and inspire others to do the same.FuturInk, a startup under the Entrepreneurship@Campus initiative and run by a team of undergraduates of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam(UBD), is proposing to develop a sustainable community village which will accommodate the underprivileged and provide them with homes, jobs and business opportunities through farming.

 

The startup hopes to gain support from the government and various agencies in order to turn its project into reality. It has recently signed up for a startup grant from the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB).
